A Legacy of Faith for Generations to Come

Our church exists today because faithful men and women stepped forward in obedience and generosity long before we arrived. Today, God is inviting us to take a step of faith for the next generation. This Legacy Campaign  is about continuing a story God has been writing for generations, a story of lives changed, families strengthened, and the Gospel proclaimed. After prayerful consideration, we believe God is calling us to build on the foundation that has been laid and to prepare for what God will do in the generations ahead.

Whether you’ve been part of Quay Church for years or you’re brand new, it’s clear that God is growing our church family. We are grateful for every story, every life changed, and every person who walks through our doors. Our heart has always been to be a church where people can encounter Jesus and grow in community. But today, our space is struggling to keep up.

  • We have expanded to 4 service Sunday times, and quickly running out of room.
  • Parking has become a real obstacle for many families trying to attend.
  • Fellowship often spills into crowded areas because there simply isn’t enough room to gather and linger together.
  • Our children’s spaces are stretched as more families call Quay Church home.
  • Every week night the church is use for Midweek ministries

We don’t want to turn anyone away who wants to walk through these doors. We believe God has entrusted us with this property to steward it well, creating a place where people can worship, belong, and grow for generations to come.

Let’s build a place where people can stay, not just attend.

The vision

New Worship Center

Expanded Parking Lot

Upgraded quaykids Spaces

through this campaign we will build:

Construct a new 1,800 to 2,000 seat worship center designed to accommodate our growing congregation. The facility will include a welcoming lobby, adult classrooms, and a centralized family check in area to better serve families and improve the Sunday experience.

Renovate and expand environments for quaykids, creating engaging, age-appropriate spaces while improving entrances, traffic flow, and security for families. As part of this vision, we will convert our current auditorium into a large gathering space for our students ministries once we have fully transitioned into the new auditorium.

Increase parking capacity so every person attending a gathering can park on campus. This will include paving the current grass parking area and improving access and traffic flow across the property.

Retire approximately $2,000,000 in remaining debt from the original construction of our current facilities in 2010. Removing this debt allows more resources to be directed toward ministry and future growth.

total cost: $35 million

FAQ

who is our building architect?

We are working with Visioneering Studios out of Dallas. You can learn more about their company here.

I don’t have much money how can I give?

Pray!

Financially, no amount is too small, and every single dollar matters. You can also partner up with your crew or other members of the church and pool your giving together. Our Financial Team would love to help you make a plan, regardless of how much you have to give.

what if we don’t raise the money?

We believe the money needed is already in our body and we believe that God has called us to this. With that said, we are always listening to Him for direction.

what happens to our current auditorium?

In a future phase, we will convert our current auditorium into a large gathering space for our Kids and Youth Ministries! Before we can begin to make these changes, we will need to be completely moved over and meeting in the new auditorium.

shouldn’t we spend the money on missions or our local ministry partners?

We agree that missions and serving others are core to who we are. The building will actually multiply that impact, allowing us to train, send, and mobilize even more people for ministry both locally and globally.

why build? why not just focus on ministry?

A building is a tool. What makes it meaningful is the ministry that happens inside; lives are changed, individuals and families find a place to land, launch, and live the new mission and vision God has placed on their lives. Our focus will always remain on people, not walls.

how will this affect our ability to support ministries?

The building fund is separate from our regular ministry budget, so weekly giving continues to fuel ministry as usual. In fact, the expanded space will allow us to strengthen and expand ministries long-term.

what’s the plan if our church stops growing?

It’s important to note that the majority of the growth in the windermere area is around us. We are also full in our midweek ministries. Our church would be able to use this building well if we remained the same size, and it allows for growth.

how big is too big?

We believe God will send to this church all that we are able to effectively disciple. The goal is not to be big, but to be faithful to all God brings through our doors (Matthew 6:33).

what happens if there’s a leadership change?

Our church is led by a group of Elders who oversee the health of the body and lead with strategy and vision. No one in our leadership desires or has any plans to leave and we know ultimately this is the Lord’s church and He controls the future of this place.
