Quay Students is the middle and high school ministry of Quay Church. We exist to make Jesus known and to help lead students into an encounter with Him in a safe and welcoming environment. We strive to build them up in both their zeal for the Lord and in their understanding of His word.

Every Wednesday is intentionally designed with your student’s age and stage in mind. Select Middle School or High School below to explore what a typical Wednesday night looks like, and to read about what your student will be learning and discussing each week.

Launch Student Conference is happening January 8–9 at Quay Church! Students will gather for two days of worship with Quay Worship, powerful teaching, breakouts, community, and plenty of fun.

costume contest

Wednesday, October 28 | 6:30p – 8:30p

Students! Come dressed in your best Halloween Costume for a chance to win one of three prizes. We’ll be awarding 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes to the most creative or well-made costumes we see!

No need to sign up — just come dressed to impress!

Costumes must be church-appropriate. Masks may only be worn when displaying for the contest.

parents night out

Friday, November 13 | 5:30p – 8:30p

Parents, enjoy a night out while we take care of the kids! Parents Night Out is happening Friday, November 13th from 5:30p–8:30p and is an opportunity to enjoy a date night, slow down, or simply spend a few uninterrupted hours together.

Drop off your kids, infants through middle school, for a fun and safe evening with our Quay Kids and Quay Students teams.

Parents Night Out is completely free, but registration is required and space is limited by age group. Registration closes November 6th. Please feed your children before arriving, as only minimal snacks will be provided during the evening.

Want to help make the night possible for other families? You can also sign up to serve as a Steward!

Middle and High School students are invited to our annual Friendsgiving on Wednesday, November 18 from 6:30-8:30pm! Join us for Thanksgiving dinner and dodgeball!

Every Sunday at all four gatherings

Quay Students! Join us in our section during all four morning gatherings. We’ll be sitting in the leftmost section of the upper bowl (there will be signs). We’ll open seats to the rest of the church 10 minutes before the gathering, so please stop by early to save your seat!

With so many students in our ministry learning from home, we want to create a consistent space for them to connect during the week. Student Socials are biweekly hangouts designed specifically for middle and high school students who are homeschooled or virtually schooled. Pre-registration is not required.

Student Socials will take place during MomLife, making it easy for moms to participate in their gathering while students enjoy their own time together.

what does a wednesday night look like?

Wednesday nights are designed to help students grow in their faith, build authentic community, and have fun along the way. Every week includes time to connect with friends, engaging worship, biblical teaching, and crews (small groups). Whether it’s your student’s first time or they’ve been coming for years, they’ll be welcomed into a fun, safe, and Christ-centered environment.

when should my student be dropped-off and picked-up?

Quay students gather between 6:30 and 8:30pm, however middle and high schoolers gather on a different schedule within that time frame.

All students should be dropped off by 6:30pm, and picked up promptly by 8:30pm.

what security measures are in place for student gatherings?

The security and well-being of students is a top priority for our ministry team. During student gatherings, the only people on property are our trained and background checked stewards. We also have an excellent volunteer security team and Orange County Sheriff at every gathering.

how can i serve with quay students?

We love that you want to take the risk with us here at Quay Church and become a steward. We call you stewards because we believe that in this house and as a family, we are all called to steward what God has given us – not just in what we bring through our tithe, but also how we give through our time. You can begin the application process by filling out our steward interest form and selecting ‘Students’.
